Hi, my name is Doug Pollock the author of “God Space: Where Spiritual Conversations Happen Naturally”. I’d like to personally invite you to join people from all over the world to talk about how to increase the quality and quantity of your spiritual conversations. My blog will include personal coaching tips, questions from readers, and recent stories which highlight the big ideas from my book. From time to time, I will post a coaching tip that other people have found helpful in the workshops I do all over the world. If you have a specific scenario that you’d like some coaching on, post it here.

Doug, I’ve read God Space and it’s absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you for writing it!
I realized that I was guilty of a lot of the “conversation killers” you mentioned in the book. I’m creating “God Space” every week at a place called Lifetree Cafe and I love the spiritual conversations I’m having.
Thank you for God Space and thank you for blogging!

Craig,
Everyone who has read chapter 2 in my book has felt your pain. Here’s a tip that you might find helpful as you move forward. From time to time ask those who you’ve been in conversation with what it has felt like to be on the other end of a conversation with you. In humility seek to understand their comments, and then sincerely apologize for the things you can own. Ask them to help you in the future by pointing out the times when you slip back into your “conversation killer” ways. In most cases, failure is rarely ever fatal or final but just an opportunity to begin again more intelligently in your conversations.
